Donna is passionate about helping families build confidence and connection through feeding, whether that involves initiating breastfeeding, navigating challenges along the way, re-lactation after disruptions, or supporting the transition through weaning. Tanya Saunders

RD
Welcome, I’m Tanya Saunders, and I have been a dedicated dietitian for the past 19 years. I focus my care on the management and prevention of hypertension, high cholesterol, and heart disease. As well, as supporting clients with celiac disease.
My approach to nutrition is rooted in a deep understanding and a passion for helping others find joy and health in their food choices. I am a mother of two boys, and I’m well acquainted with the challenges and struggles that accompany the endeavor to nourish both myself and my family.
My personal journey began with my own diagnosis of Celiac Disease. This was not merely a professional challenge, but a profound change in my own lifestyle. I’ve learned to navigate the world of food in a way that honors my body’s needs: selecting groceries, crafting gluten-free meals at home, enjoying restaurants, and partaking in family gatherings—all through a lens of mindfulness and enjoyment without gluten.
Living with Celiac has deepened my empathy and connection with those facing similar dietary changes. I’ve experienced the learning curve firsthand, from understanding the right questions to ask when offered food, to becoming adept at reading food labels. I’ve also come to appreciate that Celiac Disease manifests uniquely for each person, with a spectrum of symptoms and a variety of discovery stories, all influenced by different support systems from home, work, and friends.
I understand that grieving the loss of gluten-containing foods is a journey, not a one-time event. It’s a path I walk myself, continually discovering and delighting in gluten-free choices that are both healthy and satisfying. I am here to share with you the facts, the support, and the companionship you need on your own journey with Celiac.
By choosing to work with me, you’re not just selecting a dietitian. You’re choosing a nutrition coach who has lived through the same challenges that a gluten-free life entails. Together, we will explore a world where your diet is not limited but enriched. Let’s embark on this path to wellness with joy and understanding.
Welcome, I’m Tanya Saunders, and I have been a dedicated dietitian for the past 19 years. I focu... Read More

“Thank you for wording it that way, I’m so relieved you understand my situation, it makes me feel better”- Client dealing with binge eating, stress, and trauma
Hello, my name is Ciji Khan and I am a Registered Social Worker in Manitoba with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology Degree through Yorkville University.
With a combination of work and life experience, I started my journey in the helping field working with high-risk and at risk youth in the child welfare system and then progressed to working with adults in the justice system. I have over 15 years’ worth of experience working with children and their families and adults dealing with mental health and addiction issues. I also have experience working with people facing and dealing with homelessness, neurodivergent individuals, and people dealing with anxiety, trauma, eating disorders and depression.
I believe life is a journey and sometimes along the way we all need help with dealing with life’s challenges. I work from a person-centered, strength-based perspective and have the most experience in utilizing the CBT modality, and using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) as a primary therapy. CBT Mainly deals with looking at how our thoughts and emotions affect our behaviours and confronting negative thinking to change it into more positive perceptions and ways of thinking. EMDR looks at pointing out all triggers that affect one’s life in a negative fashion and helps an individual process past and present memories and triggers that have negative thoughts connected to those triggers and memories and replace those thoughts with more positive and aspiring thoughts to help an individual smoothly navigate through their life.
You can be assured that when you come to me for help you will be given the respect and dignity all humans deserve and are in a safe and non-judgmental space to be your own and true authentic self.
It would be an honor to earn your trust and respect and be able to walk with you on your healing journey!
